Working notes

PENDING STRUCTURE (do not promote): DAS's code-change page states the next codes (2026 CSBC, which would adopt the 2023 NEC) were expected July 1, 2026 but the effective date 'has been delayed' pending Legislative Regulation Review Committee approval - so as of retrieval the in-force code remains the 2022 CSBC / 2020 NEC, recorded here. When the 2026 codes do take effect, DAS describes a roughly three-month modification ('grace') route for projects to continue under the 2022 codes. License classes on the official DCP license-types page include E-1 (unlimited electrical contractor) and E-2 (unlimited journeyperson) plus limited electrical classes. Permits/inspections are by local building officials under the state code; no state permit regime was established.
